Protiel, the angel from the Land of the Protectors in the Planet of the Angels would become the new archangel, the malach that God put His trust with.
As he took a step, Protiel scanned every face of the crowd in the temple of glamour and gold. As if he saw every angel, every trumpeter and every creation looking at him. He slowly heard no music the trumpets made. He was listening to the sound of deafening silence. Protiel was amazed. He could not feel one sense of his body every time he took a step of the overwhelming aisle that was covered with petals of Sampaguitas and Roses. In his mind, that was the time that miracles happened. An angel of goodness, he wore a simple smile that became a proof of his fulfilling happiness. And a light pink blush was suddenly glowing in his clear face.
As he was nearing the Altar, there appeared a very bright light that blinded the crowd. Silence filled the Sacred Temple of Malach. The angels had stopped singing. Then the Seven Angel Knights, the members of the Holy Council, Wise Granuviel, the hundred of thousand trumpeters and the angel to be anointed kneeled before the Bright Light. The seven hundred angels then sang a song of praise…
“Praise be to God the Lord of the angels,
To whom we Lift our hands and pray.
Praise to the Lord that reigns always
The King of all Heavens.”
Then again, silence filled the temple. The Bright Light, which nobody could stare, touched the Altar and reflected its light throughout the temple. As the angels from near the Altar, on the vast floor of the palace, near the aisle that was covered by the flowers, and on every level of the high bowled temple bowed down their heads, a thundering voice had spoken, “Protiel, my precious malach, lead my creation and men across the heaven in praising my Name. Thou shall protect the Malachs and be the shield of all the things I love and created. I anoint you as the Archangel of Protection.”
Then, an intense, translucent ray of light flowed through the body of Protiel. He was filled with the Holy Spirit. He was shivering with blessings. His whole body was in tremble. And a whirling wind bringing gifts of holiness suddenly coated him.
The angels that witnessed the grand anointing felt awe when everything they had seen actually happened. Although the Bright Light who anointed Protiel blinded the angels, they couldn’t help themselves but to try to steal a quick glance at the Altar just to see the sacred ceremony that happens so rarely.
Then another four lights appeared surrounding the Bright Light. At the right, a yellow light appeared bringing the oil of anointing. It was Michael who poured the oil symbolizing Mercy. At the left, Gabriel came out from the light of blue bringing the shield of strength. He gave it to Protiel to protect the Heaven. Then in front, a white light appeared and Oriel, the bearer of the Book of Knowledge handed it to Protiel for the guidance and intelligence he needs. The last light was a light of green, Rafael brought miracle and transferred it to Protiel for there is nothing impossible with God. After the gifts were given, Protiel was covered with glaring light.
“My Lord, Your Will be done,” Protiel humbly said.
Then the Bright Light had spoken again, “Take this stone and make a four-edged sword out of it.”
The Bright Light showed the stone of just ordinary structure and of no glamour. The stone, as it floated and surrounded by rays of light was gradually descending towards Protiel.
As Protiel received the stone, The Bright Light spoke for the last time, “Now I must rest for I am tired.”
God had rested only once and that was after He created the Heaven and Earth. That was only one day, but that day lasted for ten century of years for the angels and men. Maybe that’s the reason why God gave Protiel a stone to be made into a four-edged sword that no angel has ever use. Because He knew when He would be sleeping, a new revolution might rise in one thousand years as what Lucifer did. The hunger of power and pride might come back in one of God’s creation. That was why He equipped Protiel with a new weapon that He knew will protect the Heaven.
Then the Bright Light, together with the four past archangels was slowly fading out. The Altar, which was covered with a light that nobody could stare, was now becoming visible to the eyes of the angels.
As the angels and all the creatures inside the temple continued kneeling before the Altar, a soft, enchanting music that made a beautiful sound, from a heavenly seven-string instrument was sending notes of do-re-mi’s. Heavenica, played by Protiel, was bit-by-bit calming the amazed crowd of the temple. The music that touched the souls of the listeners had been Protiel’s best asset. He knew God loved music as a way to praise His name and he knew that was the greatest gift he could offer to God.
While listening to the tune of the heavenica, Wise Granuviel then announced softly, ”In silence we must all pray.”
And all the angels bowed their heads in prayer. Nobody knew what each of the angels was praying about. Silence then crept the palace. Then silence stayed for a while.
When that was finished, Granuviel then proclaimed, “Amen to the Archangel!”
“Amen! Amen!” as the hundreds of thousands of angels excitedly shouted.
Then trumpets made of gold slowly sounded like a rolling thunder. Everybody were rejoicing and singing. As all planets across the Heaven heard the consecration, every creation made by God praised Him with joy. A new Archangel would lead the heaven.
